Welcome to Châlet Après
Châlet Après was a cozy yet contemporary retreat that instantly transported guests from
Manhattan’s electrifying bustle to the serene, enveloping charm of a snowy mountain escape.
Inspired by the vibrant, communal spirit found in the world’s most celebrated mountain communities, the pavilion’s design was a masterful blend of rustic elegance and urban sophistication. The magic lay in the details: MDC’s innovative wallcoverings provided the perfect canvas, allowing layered textures to meet clean, architectural lines. Alpine silhouettes were not merely replicated but elevated with refined imagination, showcasing how design can evoke a feeling without being overtly thematic.
It was a space that didn’t just celebrate the post-slope connection of après-ski—it championed
quiet comfort and elevated design, proving that this aesthetic is compelling no matter the season
or setting.
Guests were invited to step in from the proverbial cold of convention floor chaos, settling into a space where imagination met hospitality. They experienced the essence of “blue sky thinking”—a design journey that spanned from the Big Apple to Big Sky and beyond.
