How Chicago’s Design Community is Blueprinting a Future of Care
Beyond showrooms and specifications, the Midwest A&D community is building a legacy of impact through DIFFA Chicago. At the intersection of corporate sponsorship, grassroots grantmaking and high-concept celebration, design becomes a powerful catalyst for community wellness. MDC Interior Solutions is honored to champion this vital work as a proud annual sponsor of DIFFA Chicago, and our account executives were there in person to celebrate alongside the community at every event this year.

DIFFA pulls out the stops for annual Lip Sync for Life
Lip Sync for Life brought individuals, design industry teams and Chicago’s top drag performers together to compete for DIFFA’s Excellence in Care grants. A nearly sold-out Lincoln Hall came alive with homemade music videos, full-tilt performances and gourmet food and drinks. The competition ran hot from the first number to the last, with every team on stage for the same reason. Our account executives were in the crowd cheering on every performance, and it was the kind of night MDC was glad to be part of. DIFFA Chicago raised nearly $108,000 for agencies fighting HIV/AIDS across Chicagoland.

The Elevation: A Mirage in the Desert Gala
An immersive celebration of design and human connection. Held alongside the energy of NeoCon, the annual DIFFA Chicago Gala served as the social anchor of the Midwest design community. This year’s theme, “A Mirage in the Desert,” turned a local venue into a glowing hidden oasis and drew principal architects, interior designers, manufacturer executives and creative visionaries into one room, with our account executives among them. The evening blurred the line between high fashion, midnight glamour and immersive art. It was a reminder that when the A&D community comes together, its impact can extend far beyond the spaces it creates.

DIFFA closes the year with annual Art for Life
Our account executives joined Chicago’s design community at Art for Life, an evening where creativity became a powerful force for care. Guests discovered original works, found treasures at the 2nd Chance Sale and lingered among the pieces of the Three for Life Gallery Show, with every purchase carrying a meaningful purpose. MDC Art was honored to serve as the Off the Wall sponsor, helping Turn Art into Action. Together, the events raised more than $50,000 for DIFFA’s Excellence in Care Grant Awards, supporting HIV/AIDS education, care and mental health resources across the Chicago area.
