For @avivastanoffdesign, inspiration is everywhere For @avivastanoffdesign, inspiration is everywhere. From textures found while traveling to vintage fabrics and the unexpected beauty of nature, she keeps her eyes open to the details that make the world unique.

In this behind-the-scenes chat, Aviva shares how her experiences, from growing up among old-growth redwoods to spending summers in Japan, continue to shape the way she designs.

At the heart of it all is a celebration of imperfection and the beauty in what makes each of us a little different.

We’ve captured that golden hour feeling from Venice to the Riviera with a sun-drenched, citrus-inspired palette. Crisp orange hues, warm sun-bleached neutrals, and a touch of effervescent texture come together to turn any space into a seat at the piazza, no passport required. 🥂

While our designs shape spaces, the true architecture of our legacy is built on the foundation of compassion and community. Our commitment to philanthropic endeavors is deeply woven into the fabric of who we are. Our remarkable representatives and team members have been exceptionally busy recently, channeling their passion into tangible acts of kindness and support.

From the vibrant, critical support for the arts and health initiatives to the hands-on effort of feeding families in need, these recent events underscore our unwavering commitment to giving back. Take a look at the inspiring ways our company is making a profound difference in the world right now.

Art for Advocacy: Supporting Critical Causes with DIFFA Chicago

The intersection of art and advocacy creates a powerful canvas for change. We are immensely proud to support the philanthropic efforts of celebrated artist Darren Jones, whose work serves as a compelling testament to this truth.

To promote MDC Art and support a critical cause, we commissioned Darren Jones to create a captivating piece displayed in our showroom at NeoCon. This artwork was then generously donated to DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) Chicago’s annual “Art for Life” fundraiser. This signature event is more than a gala; it is a critical lifeline. Through the collective efforts of the design community, the event directly supports essential funding for HIV/AIDS education and care, as well as mental health resources in and around the Chicago area.

The generosity of individuals like Darren, who not only contributes his art but also lends his expertise as a Co-Chair for the event, is a powerful illustration of our core belief: that creativity and influence should be leveraged for the greater good. His contributions, and the dedication of all involved, truly showcase the profound acts of kindness that define our commitment.

The Nourishment of Kindness: Supporting Ronald McDonald House

Sometimes, the most profound acts of service are found in the simplicity of sharing a meal. Our team recently had the distinct honor of supporting the families at the Ronald McDonald House, a truly vital sanctuary that provides a home-away-from-home for families navigating the challenging journey of illness.

Our MDC team delightfully hosted a delicious, freshly prepared brunch, offering families a moment of respite and nourishment. The power of this service goes beyond the plate. By providing a comfortable environment and a prepared meal, we aim to deliver a tangible sense of support to residents, reinforcing our belief that calm, care-filled environments are readily available for those who need it most. It was a profound opportunity to demonstrate true empathy and connect with the families who call the Ronald McDonald House home, leaving us with a genuine sense of peace and satisfaction.

A Standing Invitation to Define Impact

These stories are not just records of what we’ve done; they are markers for what we, as a design community, can achieve when we prioritize purpose. We believe that true legacy is defined not just by the structures we build, but by the support systems we reinforce. The most elegant design is the one that serves humanity.
